Maisonneuve Wins Five National Magazine Awards
June 6, 2015We are happy to report that Maisonneuve received three gold awards and two silver at the 38th National Magazine Awards on Friday, June 5.
Genna Buck won Best New Magazine Writer for “Finding a Place.” The feature tells the story of Savannah Shannon, an autistic New Brunswick woman who has spent her life looking for somewhere to call home.
Hudson Christie won Best New Illustrator or Photographer for “A Portrait of the Artist with Testicles in Hand.”
Andrea Bennett won gold for “Water Upon the Earth” in the Essays category. Bennett's story looks at her time learning about Young Earth Creationists while in the middle of Alberta's 2013 floods.
Anna Minzhulina won silver for our Fall 2014 issue in the Art Direction of an Entire Issue category.
Sylvain Dumais won silver for “Useful Things” in the Still-Life Photography category.
