Maisonneuve Wins Five National Magazine Awards

Maisonneuve was honoured to take home four gold awards and one silver at the 37th Annual National Magazine Awards on Friday, June 6. Congratulations to all of this year's winners and nominees!

Ann Silversides was awarded gold in the Health & Medicine category for her Spring 2013 cover story about opioid abuse in small-town Ontario, "First Do No Harm." Order the issue here.

Brett Gundlock won gold in the Photojournalism and Photoessay category for "El Pueblo," a series capturing a vigilante justice movement in Mexico. Order the issue here.

Maisonneuve swept the Spot Illustration category, with artist Gracia Lam winning silver and gold for "The Tar-Sands Trap" from Issue 48 and "The Elite Yellow Peril" from Issue 50. 

Selena Wong won gold in the Illustration category for her work accompanying "Old Wounds."
