Last night, Maisonneuve was pleased to be honoured five times at the 36th Annual National Magazine Awards. Maisy won two gold and three silver awards at the celebration in Toronto, the most we've ever taken home at a single NMA ceremony. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees! 

Jonathan Montpetit's Notes From the End of the War, a dispatch from the last days of the Canadian mission in Afghanistan, won gold for Best Short Feature. 

Alison Motluk took home a gold in the Health & Medicine category for her investigative piece Is Egg Donation Dangerous? Maisy also received the silver in this category for Face the Music, in which Tim Falconer discovers the surprising science of tone deafness. 

Also honoured with a silver award were Susan Olding in Personal Journalism, who revisited Tolstoy's novel as she unraveled the memories of her own affair in her piece In Anna Karenina Furs; and Maisy's amazing art director Anna Minzhulina in the Magazine Covers category for her work on our Fall 2012 issue.
